I've already told you I really like this one Though I will repeat that an overly textured/photographic-like background is not usually advisable for a cartoony drawing. The fact that the dog casts a shadow helps to give depth, but when the background is so flat, it takes away depth from a picture in a way a single-colour background with no texture would not. I know flat white isn't so interesting, but sometimes, it's a question about what detracts the least from an image, rather about what -lifts- it the most.
Though I can see your thinking. The background texture really does fit a doberman machine. I especially like the jagged teeth and the sparkling blue eyes Though I wonder a bit about the ears. They're clearly cropped to look like that, though they don't look cropped - they look as though they've grown that way, as if it's their natural shape... but what I mostly wanted to say was that I like the metal ear, the shape of a cropped ear That the machine is so very much Doberman Pinscher even the metallic ear is a cropped one

Thank you very much again for it though. I was wondering if texture backgrounds still went with that or not. XD I've been seeing some really awesome ways of doing up a photo background to work with the characters in the picture that I'm hoping to try. Thank you for the input. It's always always appreciated. And I know what you mean about the ear. It's how she had wanted it... more like that - how she described it, not that it's much of an excuse, but it's something of one. XD
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
Have a great time everyone and please fav this article so as many people can see the featured works. I would recommend seeing each one and faving them too.
