He's a merchant and... owns a small fleet of boats. Contrary to popular belief, he is also very straight. Just very metrosexual... or something fancy like that. He thinks that it makes the merchant elves like him more if he dresses up fancy.
Hi! I've been meaning to comment on this for a while, because I like the picture and I think the character sounds interesting, but I wanted to sort of... I dunno, remind you? of something we've talked about earlier! About the design of anthro skulls :E [link] So I made a quick redline! Mostly it just says "Maybe his neck is too far to the leftand the angle of the hand is suboptimal - if we'd seen the back of his fingers rather than the palm of his hand, the arm would have had a little less awkward angle", but I also included some skulls in it. Very quick skulls. I think you could benefit from not drawing the chin so defined, and not letting it run all the way back to the middle of the skull, as it would on any ordinary dog - since the ordinary dog doesn't have a spine right in the way.
If nothing else you can always look at the definition of the canine jaw on pics of pretty much any dog - it's very different from the human jaw, which is the kind of definition you've drawn here, which is what I think makes it look a bit like you drew the dog jaw wrong rather than integrated the two? If you know what I mean?
That being said - I am no expert on anthos at all, as you know, and I am very bad with dogs too, so I may or may not be talking complete BS right now. However I do like this picture very much, and I would love to see more from this character My favourite part is his ears (EXPERTLY DRAWN) and the line of piercings! So pretty
Totally understand what you're saying and thanks for the redlines. I think that'll help out a lot. I'm glad you like his ears so much! Thanks for the help!
He's very stylish and seems pretty laid back
As always, wonderful job with the shading!
